Prosto and Vistula - NEW HISTORY OF ELEGANCE

Two Polish fashion brands - Vistula and Prosto, have established the collaboration the fruits of which can be seen in our latest Spring/Summer extraordinary capsule collection. The collection is a blend of two distinct worlds: street wear and traditional tailoring, which challenges existing canons of men’s fashion, and changes the way of perceiving both brands. Its ambassador is Wojtek Sokół, a musician and Prosto creative director.

The collection is a blend of two distinct worlds: street wear and traditional tailoring, which challenges existing canons of men’s fashion, and changes the way of perceiving both brands. Its ambassador is Wojtek Sokół, a musician and Prosto creative director. 

 

 

Vistula, referring to traditional tailoring, and Prosto as a street wear fashion brand, the collaboration never seen on the Polish market. Both brands are iconic in their areas, deeply embedded in the customer awareness. For 20 years Prosto has been a trendsetter when it comes to street wear fashion, growing in popularity in the mainstream world of pop culture. Vistula, a well-established fashion company, with numerous ambassador collections, stands for elegance for many. For generations men have been wearing Vistula suits for both formal and casual occasions. This joint capsule collection brings those two realms together creating the world of new elegance.

 

“This clash proved eminently fruitful - an amazing capsule was born, I am very satisfied with its shape. We are paving the way, this collaboration opens the door to gain new loyal customers. Wojtek Sokół, a Prosto creative director, known mainly as a rapper and producer, is the ambassador of this collection. One of the distinctive features is its visual identity designed by Bartłomiej Walczuk. Brand logos are variously combined. The formal side of the collection has been dealt with by Wojtek Bednarz, a Vistula designer. “The collection is a fusion of two different esthetics and traditions. This is its biggest asset. It does not trigger direct associations with Vistula nor with Prosto. We have focused on core products. Our redesigned suit has a brand new cut mixed with Prosto hallmarks in respect of the look and the spirit alike” - says Wojtek Bednarz.

 

“This combination will certainly be beneficial for both brands. Such collaboration is unique on the Polish market. A joint collection definitely widens the pool of customers for Vistula as well as for Prosto and sheds new light on each of them. In a world of contemporary fashion where nothing is new and the trends are hard to define, such a collection is a true rarity and breath of fresh air – underscores Patrycja Hatalska-Kostewicz.

 

Both styles blurr - the collection features clothes which are in line with the formal dress code yet with more casual cuts, and the official look is softened with breezy details: neo-green edged buttons in a reversible coat, jacket lining and suits. On offer are loose fit suits, with wider pants, a double-breasted, grey-checked suit made of denim-like fabric, and a navy blue suit set composing of a jacket and sports cuffed pants. 

 

Less formal part of the collection contains sweatshirts, a jacket, polo shirts, T-shirts, jeans, and shorts. The prevailing collection colors are: green, navy blue, blue, and beige. The clothes are accompanied by a great deal of accessories - green and navy blue caps, silk pocket squares, ties, a backpack, a wallet, a bum bag, and sports shoes.
